Chaplet of The Two Hearts
Catholic Devotional Prayer Chaplet
The Chaplet of the Two Hearts consists of the Two Hearts Medal (a medal depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary united) and 20 beads. There are 5 sets of 4 beads.
Each set of 4 beads represents 1 "Our Father..." and 3 "Hail Marys".
For each of the 5 sets of beads, meditate on one of the following spiritual themes:
1. In Honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
2. In Honour of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
3. Meditating on the Passion of Our Lord.
4. Meditating on the Sorrows of Mary.
5. In Atonement to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
At the end, on the medal, say the prayer to the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
Prayer to the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary:
O United Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
You are all grace,
all mercy, all love.
Let my heart be joined to Yours,
so that my every need is present
in Your United Hearts.
Most especially,
shed Your grace upon this particular need...
(State your request)
Help me to recognize
and accept Your loving will in my life.
Holy and Sacred Wounds
of the United Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
answer my prayer.
Amen.

The Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque
There are 12 promises that go with the displaying of the Sacred Heart in a family home. Usually this is done by hanging the image of Jesus on the wall and having a priest come and "Enthrone" Him. The "Enthronement" is a small ceremony with special devotional prayers that
invoke the protection of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. These promises were not given in a "list" form to Saint Margaret Mary by Jesus, but an American businessman later took these promises from Saint Margaret Mary's writings about what Jesus had told her about His loving Heart, and made a list for us to contemplate and hold.
The twelve promises are as follows:
1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life.
2. I will give peace in their families
3. I will console them in all their troubles.
4. They shall find in my heart an assured refuge during life and especially at the hour of death.
5. I will pour abundant blessings on all their undertakings.
6. Sinners shall find in my heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
7. Tepid souls shall become fervent.
8. Fervent souls shall speedily rise to great perfection.
9. I will bless the homes in which the image of my sacred heart shall be exposed and honored.
10. I will give to priests the power to touch the most hardened hearts.
11. Those who propagate this devotion shall have their name written in my heart, and it shall never be effaced.
12. The all-powerful love of my heart will grant to all those who shall receive communion on the first friday of nine consecutive months the grace of final repentance; they shall not die under my displeasure, nor without receiving the sacraments; my heart shall be their assured refuge at the last hour.
AN OFFERING TO THE SACRED HEARTS
OF JESUS AND MARY
O Jesus, only Son of God, only Son of Mary,
I offer Thee the most loving Heart of Thy divine Mother
which is more precious and pleasing to Thee than all hearts.
O Mary, Mother of Jesus,
I offer Thee the most adorable Heart
of Thy well-beloved Son,
who is the life and love and joy of Thy Heart.
Blessed be the Most Loving Heart
and Sweet Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ
and the most glorious
Virgin Mary, His Mother,
in eternity and forever.
Amen.
